Your Surgery in Málaga, With Support Before You Even Arrive

If you live outside Málaga or abroad, we help you coordinate the practical arrangements surrounding your surgery, so you can focus on what matters most: your procedure and recovery.

Distance Should Not Be Another Cause for Concern

Arranging surgery when you live in another city or country means making decisions that go far beyond the procedure itself: when to travel, where to stay, how to get around and how long to remain in Málaga.

Our Concierge service is designed to support you through this part of the journey too, helping coordinate the practical aspects of your stay around your procedure and recovery.

The aim is for you to arrive knowing what to expect, what you will need and how each stage has been planned around your surgery.

A COORDINATED JOURNEY

Every Stage of Your Stay, Planned Before You Arrive

Our Concierge service helps you arrange the practical aspects surrounding surgery, tailored to your procedure, where you are travelling from and how long you need to remain in Málaga.

01

Before You Travel

An initial video consultation, preliminary planning and travel preparation. Your first assessment includes guidance on preparing for the video consultation and facial photographs. The operation, tests, dates and stay in Málaga are then provisionally planned.

02

Arrival and In-Person Assessment

Before surgery, we meet in person to examine your case, review your preoperative assessment and confirm or, where necessary, adjust the surgical plan.

03

Surgery and Recovery in Málagaa

Your procedure takes place at the designated hospital. Following discharge, your recovery period in Málaga begins, with accommodation, support and in-person follow-up appointments as required for your particular procedure.

04

Returning Home and Follow-Up

Your progress is assessed before your return journey. Where appropriate, an in-person review is carried out to establish whether travelling is reasonable. Follow-up care continues once you are home, according to your agreed schedule.

HOSPITAL CARE

The Reassurance of Having Surgery at Hospital Quirónsalud Málaga

Quirónsalud is part of one of Spain’s leading private hospital networks

Entorno hospitalario Quirónsalud en Málaga

Our Concierge service coordinates the practical aspects of your stay, while medical decisions are always made individually, taking account of your anatomy, procedure and recovery. Preoperative assessment, surgery and follow-up are all part of a continuous care pathway.

Procedures requiring a hospital setting take place at Hospital Quirónsalud Málaga, a centre equipped to provide the clinical support that surgery and the immediate postoperative period may require.

For patients travelling from another city or country, knowing where their operation will take place can offer additional reassurance. Surgery is performed in a hospital environment with the facilities and healthcare professionals appropriate to the procedure.

RECOVERY IN MÁLAGA

A Peaceful Setting for the Days After Surgery

The first days after an operation call for calm, comfort and time. For patients travelling from elsewhere, Málaga provides a bright, peaceful setting in which to spend the initial recovery period before returning home.

The aim is not to turn postoperative recovery into a holiday, but to make it possible to stay discreetly and comfortably, allowing sufficient time for the recommended appointments and follow-up care.

Accommodation location, privacy, accessibility and suitable conditions for rest can all form part of planning your stay.

YOUR STAY

A Place Chosen with Your Recovery in Mind

Accommodation during the first few days is more than a minor detail. Depending on your procedure, it is worth considering proximity to the clinic and hospital, reasonable access to emergency medical care, ease of access, privacy and whether you will need someone to accompany you.

Our Concierge service is for patients living outside Málaga who need help coordinating the practical arrangements surrounding facial surgery. We can therefore guide you towards accommodation options suited to these needs and your anticipated length of stay, so that recovery can take place in a comfortable, practical environment.

It is not about choosing the most luxurious place to stay, but the most appropriate one at that time: somewhere you can rest, move around easily and attend planned follow-up appointments without unnecessary complications.

PERSONAL SUPPORT

Knowing Someone Has Thought About What Happens Beyond the Operating Theatre

When surgery means travelling far from home, personal support also means anticipating questions, coordinating timings and knowing what you will need at each stage. That continuity is an essential part of my approach to patient care.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What to Know Before Planning Your Journey

can I have my initial assessment by video consultation?

Yes. A video consultation can provide a first opportunity to discuss your case, understand your goals and outline the next steps. Whether an in-person assessment is needed before surgery depends on the procedure and which aspects need to be examined clinically.

how should I prepare for a video consultation?

Before your appointment, we will send you straightforward guidance on preparing for the video consultation and the facial photographs Dr Rodríguez needs to assess your case.

You will not need professional equipment: the photographs can be taken on a mobile phone by following simple instructions on lighting, positioning and framing. We will also explain how to join the video consultation and what to have ready beforehand.

when should I book flights and accommodation?

Following the initial assessment, we can advise you on anticipated dates and the likely length of your stay in Málaga. Wherever possible, we recommend choosing flexible travel and accommodation arrangements, as the initial plan must be confirmed after the preoperative assessment and in-person consultation in Málaga. Dates may need to change for clinical reasons.

how long should I stay in Málaga?

This depends on the procedure and your individual recovery. The length of your stay is planned around the necessary follow-up appointments, when it is appropriate for you to travel and your anticipated recovery.

Can Someone Travel with Me?

Yes. You are welcome to travel with someone, and we can take their presence into account when planning your stay and practical arrangements. Depending on your procedure and the type of anaesthesia, you may also need a responsible adult to accompany you after hospital discharge and remain with you for the period specified by the medical team.

Does the Concierge Service Include Accommodation and Transfers?

Our Concierge service can help you explore and coordinate these aspects of your stay. Availability, terms and the booking of individual services will depend on the options you choose.

when can I travel home after surgery?

The right time to travel depends on your procedure, how your recovery is progressing, your scheduled follow-up appointments and the nature of your journey. Being discharged from hospital does not necessarily mean that it is advisable to travel home. Where appropriate, an assessment takes place before you leave Málaga, and the planned departure date may change for clinical reasons.

how does follow-up care continue once I return home?

Your follow-up care continues after you return to your city or country, according to a schedule tailored to your procedure and recovery. This may include video consultations, clinical photographs, telephone calls and in-person reviews. If an issue arises that requires a physical examination, you will be advised to attend an in-person assessment in Málaga or, where more appropriate, at a healthcare centre near your home.
