The importance of simulation and profile measurement
After listening carefully to the patient's wishes, a functional assessment is carried out under a nasofibroscope and a thorough physical examination. In this examination, the thickness of the skin, the cartilage and the length of the bones of the nose, among other things, are assessed. A series of measurements are then taken to assess facial dimensions (profilometry) and photos are taken from various angles. It is with all this information that the simulation is carried out.
At ARFACIAL, simulation is of vital importance to us because, with the simulation image, the patient has a clearer concept of their surgery and the results they can have according to their facial characteristics, skin quality and cartilage structure. It is a totally direct and clear doctor-patient communication that helps to understand and resolve the patient's expectations and provides valuable information, leading to a more precise surgical approach.
